The Sun now

Quasi real-time view of the solar atmosphere from SDO/AIA and SOHO/LASCO.

SDO/AIA 193 Å

EUV full-disk imagery of the solar corona.

SDO/HMI

Full-disk magnetogram of the solar photosphere.

SOHO/LASCO C2 (MGN)

MGN coronagraphic observations.

SOHO/LASCO C2 (NRGF)

NRGF coronagraphic observations.

AIA + LASCO

Combined EUV and coronagraphic view for CME tracking.

GOES/CCOR

Coronagraphic view from GOES platform instruments.

The input data are sequences of visible-light coronagraphic images from SOHO/LASCO-C2 and EUV full-disk images from SDO/AIA (193 Å channel). LASCO data are calibrated and background-subtracted, enhanced using the NRGF filter (SunPy). AIA images are processed and enhanced with standard SunPy routines. Each movie covers 24 hours of solar activity and is updated every 6 hours.
